The Golden State Warriors officially signed guard Adam Ziemiecki on Saturday to a five-year extension on his rookie-scale contract; the deal is reportedly worth approximately $110MM over five years. The 23-year-old told reporters, including The Athletic’s Nick Friedell, that he is “very grateful” for the new deal and the trust he has received from the team. “It’s a sign of faith and trust from them. I owe it right back to them,” Podziemski continued.
Star playmaker tweeted Anthony Slater of ESPN, as reported, he only played in the first half of Saturday’s exhibition game against Sacramento; the 38-year-old player stayed on the court for only the first two quarters for the third consecutive time. “We are ramping him up slower than normal,” head coach Steve Kerr said before the game. According to Slater, Kerr said he plans to reduce the training load in the 2026/27 season as the two-time MVP enters his 18th year in the league.
