The Golden State Warriors officially signed guard Adam Ziemiecki on Saturday to a five-year extension on his rookie-scale deal; the deal is reportedly worth around $110MM over five years. The 23-year-old told reporters, including The Athletic’s Nick Friedell, that he is “very grateful” for the new contract and the trust he has received from the team. “It’s a sign of faith and trust from them. I owe it right back to them,” Podziemski continued.
Star player tweeted Anthony Slater of ESPN, according to the report, the 38-year-old only played in the first half of Saturday’s exhibition game against Sacramento; the player stayed on the court for the first two quarters for the third time in a row. “We are ramping him up slower than normal,” head coach Steve Kerr said before the game. According to Slater, Kerr said he plans to reduce the training load for the player, who is entering his 18th year in the league, in the 2026/27 season.
