The Golden State Warriors officially signed guard Adam Ziemiecki on Saturday to a five-year extension on his rookie-scale deal; the deal is reportedly worth around $110MM over five years. The 23-year-old told reporters, including The Athletic’s Nick Friedell, that he is “very grateful” for the new contract and the trust he has received from the team. “It’s a sign of faith and trust from them. I owe it right back to them,” Podziemski continued.
Star player tweeted Anthony Slater of ESPN, according to ESPN, that the 38-year-old only played in the first half of the pre-season game against Sacramento on Saturday; the player stayed on the court for only the first two quarters for the third time in a row. “We are ramping him up slower than normal,” head coach Steve Kerr said before the game. According to Slater, Kerr said he plans to reduce the training load in the 2026/27 season as the player enters his 18th year in the league.
