The Golden State Warriors officially signed guard Adam Ziemiecki on Saturday to a five-year extension on his rookie-scale contract; the deal is reportedly worth approximately $110MM over five years. The 23-year-old, who told reporters including The Athletic’s Nick Friedell that he is “very grateful” for the new deal and the trust he has received from the team, added: “It’s a sign of faith and trust from them. I owe it right back to them.”
Star player tweeted Anthony Slater of ESPN, as reported, that the star player only appeared in the first half of the pre-season game against Sacramento on Saturday; the 38-year-old player stayed on the court for only the first two quarters for the third consecutive time. “We are ramping him up slower than normal,” head coach Steve Kerr said before the game. According to Slater, Kerr said he plans to reduce the training load for the player, who is entering his 18th year in the league, in the 2026/27 season.
